Skulptur for opsamling af regnvand (Sculpture for collecting rainwater)

Inauguration/vernissage: Wednesday 3rd of September 2025, 2 p.m.
The ceramic sculpture with water for collecting rainwater is my largest ceramic work to date. It is placed in the public Kongegaardshaven in Korsør. The artwork is made at the Danish Art Workshops over a four months long residency 2024-25.
The research for the artwork started at my earlier residency at the Danish Institute in Rome (2024), where I studied various water designs in public spaces and parks.
The sculpture draws on references from these studies, the symbolism, history and significance of water for humans (and other species) and the city of Korsør's special relationship to the sea.
My public artwork is supported by New Carlsberg Foundation.

I foråret 2026 vil jeg tilbyde skulpturvandringer i det offentlige rum, i hhv. Gentofte og Lyngby-Taarbæk på to lørdage i april.
Jeg vilgive korte introduktioner til kunstnerne og tankerne bag skulpturerne i det offentlige rum. Ruterne har jeg planlagt således at vi oplever både klassiske, ældre skulpturer og den nyeste samtidskunst. Sammen går vi
på opdagelse i borgernes udendørs kunstsamling!

den franske skulptør Camille Claudels liv og kunst -

I foredraget præsenterer jeg den enestående og rebelske billedhugger Camille Claudel, som var med til at udvikle byggestenene til de moderne skulpturer, vi idag forbinder med Auguste Rodin. Men Claudel var også en innovativ kunstner i sin egen ret.
Foredraget vil tage os med på en tidsrejse til Paris’ kunstscene i begyndelsen af det 20. århundrede - med industrialiseringen, nye ideer og en gryende kvindefrigørelse.
